Northrop Grumman Systems Corp. has been awarded a $34,388,301 contract modification by the U.S. Department of War to raise the maximum value of an existing firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for military helicopter components.
The modification expands the program's procurement potential for Link-16 avionics kits and related spare parts for rotary-wing platforms. Specifically, contract quantities were increased by eight UH-1Y Link-16 A Kits, nine AH-1Z Link-16 A Kits and 17 Link-16 B Kits. The adjustment also covers associated spare parts as well as systems engineering, program management and logistics support tied to those assemblies.
Execution of the work is scheduled across a number of U.S. localities. Chicago, Illinois is slated to receive 23% of the work; Woodland Hills, California will take 22%; and Salt Lake City, Utah will account for 20%. Additional portions of the modification will be performed in San Diego, California (9%), Rancho Cucamonga, California (8%), Huntsville, Alabama (8%), Dallas, Texas (5%), Scottsdale, Arizona (2%) and Rochester, New York (1%). The remaining 2% of effort will be distributed among other, unspecified localities.
The contract modification sets an expected completion date of March 2027. At the time the modification was announced, no funds were obligated. Funding will be provided on a per-order basis as individual orders under the contract are issued.
