  • CFG Bank SA (CSE: CFG) declined 1.03% or 2.00 points to finish at 193.00.

Market breadth favored advancers on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, where 35 stocks gained, 19 declined and 10 were unchanged.


Commodities and currencies

Commodities traded lower alongside the equity session. Crude oil for September delivery fell 6.20% or 5.25 to $79.42 a barrel. Brent oil for October delivery dropped 4.91% or 4.32 to $83.61 a barrel. The December Gold Futures contract declined 0.42% or 17.23 to trade at $4,089.77 a troy ounce.

In currency markets, EUR/MAD moved down 0.18% to 10.74, while USD/MAD rose 0.16% to 9.34.

The US Dollar Index Futures was reported up 0.04% at 99.83.


This session's activity showed selective strength among mid- and large-cap names in Banking, Beverage and Transport, while certain industrial and financial stocks recorded declines. The market's modest overall advance reflected that the number of rising issues outpaced losers by a margin of 35 to 19.
