Commodities showed modest weakness during the session. Crude oil for October delivery declined 0.72% or 0.59 to $81.77 a barrel. Brent oil for November delivery fell 0.68% or 0.59 to $86.68 a barrel. Takeaway

The close reflected modest upward pressure on the TA 35, supported by select insurance and exchange-related names, while declines in certain renewable and energy-linked stocks and softer commodity prices contributed offsetting influences.

Risks

  • Softer commodity prices - crude oil and Brent both fell - could weigh on energy-related stocks and sector sentiment.
  • Declines in specific names such as Enlight Renewable Energy and Navitas Petroleum highlight concentration risk in renewable and energy segments.
  • Narrow margin of gains on the index and the presence of more than 200 decliners indicate potential volatility and limited breadth support for continued upside.
