Blackboard, a non-custodial trading terminal for onchain markets, and Aster, a perpetual decentralized exchange, have unveiled a joint trading competition that will run from October 10 to November 10, 2026 (UTC).
The competition will begin with a guaranteed prize pool of $17,000 and can grow to as much as $100,000. Registration is currently open for users who are on the waitlist. A single registration enrolls participants on two distinct leaderboards: Volume and PnL.
The Volume leaderboard ranks participants according to the notional volume they execute during the contest. The PnL leaderboard ranks traders by positive net profit and loss. To be eligible for any rewards, traders must post at least $50,000 in qualified volume over the competition period.
Prize distribution has been allocated across the two leaderboards. The Volume leaderboard will allocate as much as $70,000 and may reward up to 50 winners. The PnL leaderboard will allocate up to $30,000 across as many as 25 winners. The overall prize pool expands across seven levels set by the combined volume produced by qualified traders.
Organizers said the current prize pool level and leaderboard standings will be displayed on the Blackboard x Aster Trading Competition page throughout the event, allowing participants to monitor progress and positioning as volumes accumulate.
