Saudi Arabia's equity market ended the trading session on Thursday in negative territory, with the Tadawul All Share (TASI) down 0.20% at the close. Losses were led by the Financial Services, Media & Publishing and Insurance sectors, which collectively contributed to the downward bias in the market.
At the close of trade, advancing issues outnumbered decliners by a narrow margin: 176 stocks gained, 156 fell and 19 finished unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
Top performers
- Al Sorayai Trading & Industrial Group (TADAWUL:1213) was the session's strongest mover, rising 9.98% - an increase of 1.62 points - to finish at 17.86.
- Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8311) added 5.55% or 0.62 points to close at 11.79.
- Nice One Beauty Digital Marketing (TADAWUL:4193) gained 5.40% or 0.65 points to end the day at 12.69.

Commodities and currencies
Energy markets saw modest gains during the session. Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.26% or 0.21 to $82.44 a barrel. Brent oil for November delivery rose 0.44% or 0.38 to $87.32 a barrel. In precious metals, the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 12.21 to trade at $4,641.09 a troy ounce.
On currency moves, EUR/SAR was effectively unchanged, moving 0.06% to 4.37, while USD/SAR held steady at 3.75 with no recorded change. The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 99.15 at the time referenced.
The session illustrated a market where sector-level weakness in Financial Services, Media & Publishing and Insurance outweighed discrete winners among individual issuers, while commodity prices showed mixed directionality with oil slightly firmer and gold lower.
