Singapore will host Sui Basecamp 2026 on October 7-8 at Marina Bay Sands, arranged to run alongside TOKEN2049. The two-day gathering aims to convene the Sui community - including founders, developers, investors, traders, and industry leaders - for product announcements, technical sessions, demos, and face-to-face discussion about the infrastructure needed for an agentic economy.
The program centers on what organizers describe as the agentic economy: a landscape in which software agents execute transactions on behalf of people, continuously and at machine speed. Sessions will examine the primitives and rails that industry participants say are necessary for agentic finance to operate - instant settlement, verifiable ownership and authorization, privacy-by-default transaction flows, stable digital dollars, and protections against quantum-era cryptographic threats.
Speakers and perspectives
The schedule assembles a cross-section of voices from both inside the Sui ecosystem and adjacent fields. Raoul Pal, Co-Founder and CEO of Real Vision, is listed among the featured speakers and will address capital flows and the transition into digital assets.
Adeniyi Abiodun, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Mysten Labs, will appear representing the team that originated from Meta’s Diem project and subsequently built Sui. Kostas Chalkias, Mysten Labs Co-Founder and Chief Cryptographer, is slated to discuss cryptographic foundations and Sui’s efforts toward post-quantum security; he will also lead a live Main Stage speed test.
Other scheduled presenters include Hilmar Veigar Petursson, CEO of Fenris Creations and formerly CEO of CCP Games, who brings long experience running player-driven virtual economies and is bringing that expertise onchain through EVE Frontier. From the AI field, Alex Mourfarek, Director of Inception at Google DeepMind, will talk about the intersection of frontier AI research and entrepreneurship. Jen Zhu Scott, Co-Founder and CEO of Power Dynamics, will represent infrastructure perspectives related to cooling and energy storage for AI scaling.
Policy and governance perspectives are represented by Brian Quintenez, Director of Sui Holdings Group and a former commissioner of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, who will address regulatory frameworks in crypto. Richard Socher, Co-Founder and CEO of Recursive and You.com, is also scheduled to speak on developments at the cutting edge of AI research and intelligent software.

Main Stage: a live TPS stress test
On October 7, the Main Stage will host a public speed test led by Kostas Chalkias that aims to push Sui to its practical limits. The stated objective is to surpass Sui’s current recorded throughput ceiling of 6,086,766 transactions per second (TPS), which was registered earlier this year on July 4th.
The attempt is intended to replicate the conditions organizers say an agentic economy will demand: AI agents and users transacting across games, payments, and chat using programmable tunnels to generate continuous, machine-speed transaction velocity. High throughput metrics are presented as a measure of how much real-world load the network can sustain.
To ensure transparency, CertiK will serve as the independent auditor for the test. Every transaction will be captured in a cryptographic transcript for post-test verification and formal reconfirmation, enabling mathematical auditing of the results rather than relying solely on observation.
Audience members - at Marina Bay Sands or watching remotely - can participate by submitting TPS predictions. Organizers have announced rewards for the top three predictions: first place will receive 10,000 SUI, second place 5,000 SUI, and third place 1,000 SUI. Hands-on programming and trading
The event includes practical, interactive elements beyond the stage presentations. An AI Builder Lab will offer attendees an opportunity to work directly with the latest AI tools and attend sessions led by teams operating at the intersection of AI and Sui. The lab is designed for builders and developers who want to learn how to construct AI-powered applications and agents on Sui.
For market-focused attendees, the Trading Arena will feature live trader competitions hosted on Hudi, where observers can watch traders execute strategies in real time. Organizers emphasize that Basecamp is built for active participation, whether attendees are there to build, trade, or otherwise engage with new tools.
