  • Top gainers included IS:DAPGM, IS:ASTOR and IS:BRSAN with near double-digit percentage increases.
  • Notable decliners included IS:EFOR, IS:CCOLA and IS:ENERY.

These moves occurred in the context of mixed commodity prices and modest lira weakness versus the dollar and euro. The composition of winners and losers suggests concentrated strength in specific sectors while some individual stocks moved lower during the session.

Risks

  • Selective stock declines such as IS:EFOR, IS:CCOLA and IS:ENERY indicate that not all sectors participated in the rally - corporate-specific and sector risks.
  • Volatility in commodity prices, with crude oil up and gold down, could affect energy and commodity-linked sectors - commodities market risk.
  • Moderate lira depreciation against the dollar and euro (USD/TRY and EUR/TRY higher) may introduce currency-related uncertainty for importers and exporters - currency risk.
