Israel's stock market ended Friday's session with modest gains as sector strength in Real Estate, Communication and Biomed supported the benchmark. At the close in Tel Aviv the TA 35 rose 0.40%.
The session's top performers on the TA 35 included Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:ENLT), which advanced 3.30% or 890.00 points to finish at 27,870.00. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 2.33% or 950.00 points to close at 41,700.00, and Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG) rose 2.13% or 910.00 points to end at 43,600.00.
On the downside, NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) dropped 3.59% or 1,000.00 points to trade at 26,830.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) declined 2.62% or 45.00 points to finish at 1,675.00, and the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange listing (TASE:TASE) fell 1.96% or 300.00 points to 15,040.00.
Market breadth favored advancers. Rising stocks outnumbered decliners on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 298 to 170, while 84 issues finished unchanged.
Ormat Technologies reached a milestone during the session. Shares in Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) rose to all time highs, moving up 2.33% or 950.00 to 41,700.00.
Commodities and currencies also moved during the trading day. Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.83% or 1.70 to $91.34 a barrel. Brent oil for August delivery fell 1.18% or 1.12 to $93.91 a barrel. The August Gold Futures contract declined 2.60% or 117.03 to trade at $4,387.97 a troy ounce.
In currency trading, the Israeli shekel weakened against the dollar and euro. USD/ILS was up 1.06% at 2.93, while EUR/ILS rose 0.67% to 3.39. The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 99.82.
Overall, the session combined sector-level strength in specific equities with broader commodity and currency moves that reflected declines in oil and gold prices and a firmer dollar. Market participants ended the week with the TA 35 modestly higher and a mixed picture among large-cap names.
