VEON Ltd. has confirmed that its subsidiary, Kyivstar Group Ltd., has completed the acquisition of 100% of Tabletki.ua for $160 million, with the consideration paid in Ukrainian hryvnia. The transaction closed on Tuesday following the signing of a definitive agreement.
Tabletki.ua is described by Kyivstar as one of Ukraine's leading digital marketplaces for locating, comparing and reserving medicines and related pharmacy products. The platform works with more than 14,000 pharmacy partners across the country and reported an average of 14 million reservations per month during 2025.
In terms of booking volumes, Tabletki.ua recorded gross merchandise value of UAH 45 billion for its fiscal year 2024. That figure rose to UAH 57.3 billion for the 12-month period ending September 30, 2025.
The acquisition is positioned as an extension of Kyivstar's expanding healthcare ecosystem. Kyivstar already broadened its digital health footprint in 2022 with the purchase of the Helsi platform. Tabletki.ua will be integrated into Kyivstar's existing digital services lineup, which includes the ride-hailing service Uklon, Kyivstar TV and the MyKyivstar super-app.
Statements from leadership
Oleksander Komarov, President of Kyivstar, commented on the transaction: "Ukrainian businesses like Tabletki.ua are enabling millions of Ukrainians to benefit from convenient, digital-first solutions, supporting the growth and resilience of the country. Tabletki.ua already plays an essential role in everyday life for millions of Ukrainians. By combining Kyivstar’s experience in building and scaling digital platforms with Tabletki.ua’s strong market position, we will make healthcare services even more accessible and convenient across Ukraine."
Kaan Terzioglu, VEON Group CEO and Executive Chairman of Kyivstar, added: "This acquisition strengthens our commitment to Ukraine by expanding access to digital healthcare solutions that improve everyday life. Together, Kyivstar and Tabletki.ua will accelerate the development of innovative, customer-focused healthcare services."
Financial figures provided in the announcement cite unaudited management accounts for Tabletki.ua showing $24 million in EBITDA and $20 million in net profit for the last 12 months ending September 30, 2025. Based on those trailing 12-month earnings, the $160 million purchase price corresponds to a price-to-earnings multiple of 8.0X.
What this means
The acquisition brings a high-traffic, pharmacy-oriented marketplace into a telecommunications group's digital services mix, reinforcing Kyivstar's push into consumer-facing healthcare and integrated digital offerings. Tabletki.ua's network scale and booking volumes are central to Kyivstar's rationale for adding the platform to its portfolio.
