Turkey's main equity benchmark posted a modest advance at the close on Wednesday, with selective sector strength offsetting declines across some larger names.
The BIST 100 rose 0.08% by the end of trading in Istanbul, propelled primarily by the Leasing & Factoring, Technology and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors.
Top and bottom performers
The session's strongest performers on the BIST 100 included Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which advanced 9.98% - a 3.92 point gain - to finish at 43.20. Qua Granite Hayal Yapi ve Urunleri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:QUAGR) climbed 9.81%, adding 0.26 points to close at 2.91. Destek Finans Faktoring As (IS:DSTKF) also showed a notable rise, increasing 6.62% or 100.00 points to end the day at 1,610.00.
On the downside, Kiler Holding AS (IS:KLRHO) led losses with a 9.97% drop, falling 25.05 points to close at 226.20. Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) declined 6.40%, a 2.90 point fall to 42.44, while Pasifik Eurasia Lojistik Dis Ticaret AS (IS:PASEU) slid 5.75% or 7.40 points to finish at 121.30.
Advancing issues outnumbered decliners on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 377 to 223, with 14 shares unchanged at the close.

Shares of Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) and Destek Finans Faktoring As (IS:DSTKF) rose to all-time highs during the session, with KTLEV gaining 9.98% to 43.20 and DSTKF rising 6.62% to 1,610.00.

In commodity markets, Gold Futures for April delivery increased 0.86% - up 44.15 - to $5,167.85 a troy ounce. Crude oil for April delivery eased 0.83%, down $0.62 to $73.94 a barrel, while the May Brent contract fell 0.77%, slipping $0.63 to $80.77 a barrel.
On the currency front, the Turkish lira was slightly weaker against both major currencies cited: USD/TRY ticked up 0.06% to 43.97, and EUR/TRY rose 0.26% to 51.22. The US Dollar Index Futures declined 0.22% to 98.79.
