Key Points

  • Fiat has launched the 2026 Topolino electric micromobility vehicle in the U.S., available through select dealers in limited quantities.
  • The Topolino is priced at $13,995 (MSRP) excluding destination fees and comes in two trims: standard Topolino and Topolino Dolcevita.
  • Technical specs include a 5.4-kWh lithium-ion battery with up to 46 miles of range, a current maximum speed of 19 mph (upgradeable to 25 mph with a conversion kit expected by late summer 2026), and a roughly five-hour full charge time on 2.3 kW AC power.

Fiat officially launched the Topolino electric micromobility vehicle in the United States today, marking Stellantis' initial foray into the U.S. micromobility segment. The 2026 Topolino is being distributed through select dealerships and is offered in limited numbers across two versions - the standard Topolino and the Topolino Dolcevita.

The manufacturer's suggested retail price for the Topolino is $13,995, not including destination charges. The vehicle is equipped with a 5.4-kWh lithium-ion battery that delivers up to 46 miles of driving range on a single charge. At present, the Topolino's maximum speed is capped at 19 mph; however, owners will have the option to raise that ceiling to 25 mph by installing a Low Speed Vehicle conversion kit that Stellantis expects to offer by late summer 2026. That conversion would allow the Topolino to be driven legally on public roads where posted speed limits do not exceed 35 mph.

In keeping with its compact purpose, the Topolino measures 4'7'' by 8'3'' by 5'1'' and has a listed curb weight of 1,073 pounds. Charging from empty to full requires roughly five hours when using a 2.3 kW AC power source.

"Topolino represents a new chapter for the brand in the U.S. - defined not just by size, but by purpose," said Olivier Francois, Fiat brand CEO. "With Topolino, we bring a feeling, a lifestyle, a reminder that mobility can be joyful, expressive and beautifully simple."

Fiat positions the Topolino for short-range, lifestyle-oriented use cases including neighborhood errands, coastal drives, resort properties and private communities. Standard equipment on the model includes 14-inch wheels with vintage covers, LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster and onboard storage compartments. The base Topolino features a panoramic sunroof, while the Dolcevita trim substitutes a roll-back soft-top and door rope for an open-air driving experience.

Fiat has also teamed with Motori & Customs to provide customization services and curated Topolino editions tailored to American customers. The introduction in the U.S. aligns with Stellantis' FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, under which Fiat aims to deliver accessible, design-driven mobility solutions.

Summary of vehicle specifications and options

  • Price: $13,995 (MSRP) excluding destination fees.
  • Battery: 5.4-kWh lithium-ion; range up to 46 miles.
  • Top speed: 19 mph standard; upgradeable to 25 mph with a Low Speed Vehicle conversion kit expected by late summer 2026.
  • Dimensions: 4'7'' x 8'3'' x 5'1''; weight: 1,073 pounds.
  • Charge time: Approximately five hours on 2.3 kW AC power.
  • Trims: Standard Topolino (panoramic sunroof) and Topolino Dolcevita (roll-back soft-top and door rope).

This launch expands Fiat's product footprint in the U.S. into micro-mobility while maintaining emphasis on design and lifestyle positioning. Availability is currently limited and restricted to select dealerships.

Risks

  • Limited initial availability through select dealers may constrain near-term consumer adoption and distribution scale, impacting retail and dealer networks.
  • Current top speed is limited to 19 mph until owners install a Low Speed Vehicle conversion kit expected by late summer 2026, which affects the vehicle's legal usability on certain public roads and markets.
  • The Topolino is intended primarily for neighborhood, resort and private community use, which limits total addressable market size compared with full-speed electric vehicles.
