Investing.com - Danish shares ended the trading session lower on Tuesday following broad weakness across several sectors. The benchmark OMX Copenhagen 20 closed down 1.36%, marking a new three-year low for the index.
The downward pressure was concentrated in the Software & Computer Services, Financials and Healthcare sectors, which collectively contributed to the market decline. Market breadth was tilted toward decliners, with 61 stocks falling, 57 advancing and 19 unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
Top and bottom performers
Among constituents of the OMX Copenhagen 20, Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) was the session's strongest performer, rising 3.15% or 4.80 points to close at 157.10. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) also posted gains, adding 1.70% or 260.00 points to finish at 15,530.00. Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) ended higher by 1.54% or 7.40 points at 488.80.
On the downside, Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA) led losses among the C20 names, slipping 3.46% or 13.10 points to close at 365.20. Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) fell 3.08% or 7.80 points to 243.70, and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) declined 2.49% or 8.50 points to 333.10.

Commodities and currencies
In commodities trading, crude oil for April delivery was down 0.42% or 0.28 to $66.03 a barrel. Brent oil for May delivery fell 0.28% or 0.20 to $70.91 a barrel. The April Gold Futures contract moved lower by 1.23% or 64.04 to trade at 5,161.56 a troy ounce.
On the currency front, USD/DKK was effectively unchanged, moving 0.03% to 6.34, while EUR/DKK was unchanged, moving 0.02% to 7.47. The US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.04% at 97.68.
This session's price action leaves the OMX Copenhagen 20 at a three-year trough, with sector-level losses in Software & Computer Services, Financials and Healthcare accounting for much of the downward momentum. At the same time, several heavyweight stocks recorded gains, producing a mixed intra-index performance despite the overall decline.
