Anduril to Acquire ExoAnalytic as It Pursues Golden Dome Space-Defense Capabilities

Anduril Industries has signed a definitive agreement to buy ExoAnalytic Solutions, a national security company focused on space sensing, awareness and missile defense. The acquisition is intended to bolster Anduril’s role in the administration’s Golden Dome space-based missile defense initiative by combining ExoAnalytic’s global telescope network and analytics with Anduril’s autonomy and command-and-control technologies.

Key Points

  • Anduril signed a definitive agreement to acquire ExoAnalytic Solutions, a specialist in space sensing, awareness and missile defense.
  • ExoAnalytic operates over 400 telescope systems worldwide and provides modeling, simulation and missile warning software for classified national security space programs.
  • The acquisition aims to combine ExoAnalytic’s sensor network and analytics with Anduril’s autonomy and command-and-control expertise to support work related to the Golden Dome space-based missile defense initiative.

WASHINGTON, March 11 - Anduril Industries said it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ExoAnalytic Solutions, a national security company that specializes in space sensing, awareness and missile defense.

The purchase comes as Anduril positions itself for a role in President Donald Trump’s Golden Dome missile defense project - an initiative described as building a space-based shield capable of intercepting ballistic, cruise and hypersonic missiles. The administration has drawn interest from hundreds of companies competing to contribute to Golden Dome, and Anduril was among firms that received smaller contracts for space-based interceptors awarded in late November.

ExoAnalytic began with missile defense algorithms and expanded into operating a global telescope network that tracks thousands of objects in orbit. The company owns and operates more than 400 telescope systems deployed worldwide, a footprint Anduril said provides persistent, high-fidelity awareness of deep space at global scale.

Beyond its sensor network, ExoAnalytic is identified as a leader in modeling and simulation for classified national security space programs and supplies software and expertise for missile warning and missile defense.

Gokul Subramanian, Anduril’s senior vice president of engineering, said the acquisition will accelerate the company’s ambitions. "We expect this acquisition to enable us to tap into those capabilities more and more," he told reporters, adding that the combined entity would advance Anduril’s work in space sensing, tracking, battle management and fire control.

The transaction is reported as Anduril’s first acquisition under its space business unit and its 11th acquisition overall. Anduril said the deal will integrate ExoAnalytic’s global sensor network and data analytics with Anduril’s expertise in autonomy and command and control.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The deal remains subject to regulatory approvals.
