GSR Expands Services with $57M Buy of Autonomous and Architech to Create End-to-End Capital Markets and Treasury Offering

GSR announced a $57 million acquisition of Autonomous and Architech, combining launch operations, treasury and advisory services with GSR’s institutional trading, liquidity and asset management functions. Autonomous will retain its brand within the GSR group to continue providing operational and financial infrastructure for tokenized organizations, while Architech will form the foundation of GSR Digital Asset Advisory. The integrated platform aims to replace fragmented advisor arrangements with aligned capital markets and treasury solutions for tokenized networks.

Key Points

  • GSR acquired Autonomous and Architech for $57 million, consolidating launch, advisory and treasury services with its institutional trading and asset management capabilities.
  • Autonomous will continue to operate under its brand within GSR to provide launch operations, operational support and financial infrastructure; Architech will form the basis of GSR Digital Asset Advisory.
  • The integrated platform aims to replace fragmented advisory engagements by aligning foundation structuring, governance design, token economics, fundraising and long-term capital planning, while offering treasury management services such as liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, risk management and capital allocation strategy.

New York - GSR said it has acquired Autonomous and Architech in a transaction valued at $57 million, a move the firm says materially broadens its ability to support tokenized organizations from formation through scale. Under the terms announced, Autonomous will remain an operating brand within the GSR group, delivering launch operations, operational support and financial infrastructure to tokenized projects. Architech will serve as the core of a newly formed GSR Digital Asset Advisory practice, working alongside GSR’s institutional trading, liquidity and asset management teams.

Launching a tokenized network commonly requires clients to engage a variety of advisors - token economists, market makers, exchange listing consultants and structuring specialists - each typically operating on separate mandates and incentives. GSR’s approach aims to replace that fragmented supply chain with a coordinated model that aligns foundation structuring, governance design, token economics, fundraising and exchange strategy, and long-term capital planning.

The integrated offering also provides access to GSR’s regulated entities and established trading functions. That means clients can tap institutional trading, derivatives and asset management capabilities through the same group that supplies launch and advisory services.

“The crypto industry has matured, but its capital markets infrastructure remains fragmented,” said Xin Song, CEO of GSR. “Entrepreneurs should not have to allocate significant portions of their token supply to disconnected service providers. By aligning advisory expertise alongside GSR’s institutional trading and asset management capabilities, we provide coordinated support from pre-launch through scale.”

GSR framed the acquisition as a response to a structural challenge that many tokenized networks face after launch: foundations frequently assume management of substantial digital asset treasuries without having developed the financial infrastructure needed to steward those resources. GSR said the platform will deliver strategic treasury and capital markets guidance, covering a set of specific capabilities:

  • Cash and Liquidity Planning - optimizing working capital and banking relationships.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting - runway modeling and capital planning.
  • Risk Management - structured approaches to manage token volatility and exposures, with execution available through GSR’s trading and derivatives businesses.
  • Capital Allocation Strategy - disciplined diversification and portfolio construction, supported by GSR’s asset management and trading capabilities.

According to GSR, many crypto treasuries today are maintained as largely passive holdings of their own native tokens. Introducing structured diversification and income-generating strategies is presented as a way to convert those balance sheets into sustainable funding engines without diluting long-term token alignment. GSR positions this professionalization of treasury management as strengthening both individual networks and the broader ecosystem.

“Crypto foundations are effectively managing large, complex balance sheets from day one,” said James Hutchings, Managing Director, Autonomous. “Integrating with GSR allows us to pair deep advisory expertise with institutional trading infrastructure.”

“Successful tokenization doesn’t end at launch,” added Matt Solomon, CEO, Architech. “It requires coordination across design, liquidity, and long-term financial management. This platform unifies those elements within a first-of-its-kind, integrated offering.”

Autonomous is described as an end-to-end launch, finance and operations partner for digital asset projects. Its services encompass fractional CFO/COO support, finance management, treasury operations, payment processing, partner coordination (exchanges, custodians, market makers, OTC desks), multi-signature and treasury architecture, token minting, liquidity planning, lock/vest administration, grants management, governance support and banking setup. The firm supports projects through pre-launch preparation, token generation events, go-to-market execution and post-launch steady-state operations.

Architech is identified as an advisory firm focused on fungible token launches and tailored liquidity strategies. Since its inception in October 2024, Architech has supported token launches that totaled over $10 billion in peak fully diluted value. Its core services include mechanism design, market maker facilitation, centralized exchange coordination, go-to-market strategy and fundraising.

GSR said the acquisition advances its objective to become a one-stop capital markets partner for crypto initiatives, delivering institutional standards, aligned incentives and full lifecycle support for new onchain businesses. The firm highlighted that clients will be able to access its market-making services, institutional-grade over-the-counter trading and asset management alongside the advisory and launch capabilities introduced through Autonomous and Architech.

Risks

  • Foundations often begin life managing large digital asset treasuries without established financial infrastructure, creating execution and governance risks for treasury management - this affects crypto networks and digital asset markets.
  • Coordination across multiple advisory, trading and asset management functions requires aligned incentives and operational integration; failure to achieve seamless alignment could limit the platform’s effectiveness - this impacts professional services, trading, and treasury operations within crypto.
  • Clients relying on the integrated offering may face concentration risk if services are sourced from a single provider rather than diversified specialist firms; this can influence market-making, OTC trading, and advisory sectors in the crypto ecosystem.
