Bybit EU, an Austrian crypto-asset service provider operating under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR), will act as Lead Sponsor of Paris Blockchain Week 2026, the company announced. The conference is set for April 15-16, 2026 at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris and will convene thousands of participants from across the digital asset ecosystem, including executives, investors, developers and policymakers.
The sponsorship and planned executive appearances mark a visible step in Bybit EU's engagement with European industry discussions. Ben Zhou, Co-founder and CEO of Bybit, is scheduled to join the conference stage. He will be accompanied by Ambroise Helaine, Country Manager France for Bybit EU, and Robert Macdonald, Chief Legal & Compliance Officer at Bybit. The three executives are listed as participants in panel sessions that will explore market development, institutional adoption and the evolution of digital asset platforms.
Bybit EU framed its involvement as consistent with a broader strategy to transition beyond a pure trading venue toward what it describes as a new financial platform that bridges digital assets and the traditional economy. The company said this expanded platform scope includes services such as trading, custody, payments and wider financial access.
Georg Harer, Co-CEO of Bybit EU, commented on the significance of the event, saying: "Paris Blockchain Week has become one of the most important forums bringing together innovators, institutions and policymakers across the digital asset ecosystem. As the industry matures and regulatory clarity improves, the focus is shifting from trading cycles to the infrastructure being built around digital assets. Events like Paris Blockchain Week are where many of these conversations take shape."
Bybit EU operates under the MiCAR framework, a point the company highlighted when describing its regulatory position. That authorization enables the firm to provide regulated crypto-asset services across the European Economic Area, subject to the standards of governance, transparency and investor protection the company cited.
As Lead Sponsor and through the presence of senior executives on discussion panels, Bybit EU said it intends to contribute to debates and decisions shaping the next phase of digital asset adoption in Europe and globally. The company described the panels as covering topics such as market development, institutional adoption and platform evolution without providing further detail on the specific session formats or times.
